Dr. Vimala.K.V currently serves as Associate Professor of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Information Technology and Management, Coimbatore, since April 2021. Prior to this she has held academic positions in various institutions. She is an expert Outbound Trainer and has many activities under her kitty. She is also the Coordinator of the Marketing Club –“Master Minds”.

Academic Chronicle:
Dr. Vimala K.V has an MBA, MPhil and PhD in Management and is an alumna of Karpagam University. She is a recognized PhD Research Supervisor of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Her research interests are on Marketing and the broader aspects of Marketing and has published papers in reputable journals and conferences.

Key Skills & Accomplishments:
A proficient management educator, awarded the ‘Best Faculty Award’ in March 2016 for her contribution to the institute. She has been awarded the silver medal at the ‘J.L. Batra Best Research Paper Award’ by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). Vimala has been teaching management students and training working professionals and faculty. She regularly handles sessions for faculty in communication skills and undertakes consulting assignments on Marketing solutions for a number of companies, and is regularly invited as a speaker by professional bodies.

She has designed, developed and conducted numerous Management Development Programmes and Executive Development Programmes in HR, Business Communication and Soft Skills for executives of notable companies in and around Coimbatore.

Vimala has participated in many seminars, conferences and workshops and published widely in reputed journals and written cases. She has been the Organising Secretary of many International Conferences held at Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka & Thailand, Indonesia.

Her industry exposure includes roles at ING VYSYA BANK and where she received recognitions for her contributions.
